Single Storey Rear Extension & Complete Renovation

We completed this beautiful rear extension in Worthing, alongside a complete renovation of a period property. The homeowners had recently purchased the property and wanted to modernise it while carefully retaining its period character. The aim was to create a more functional, open and light-filled home that blended heritage charm with contemporary comfort.

Our team were responsible for the full construction of the single-storey rear extension and the renovation work throughout the property. We carefully managed the build process, ensuring that period features were preserved and new modern touches were seamlessly integrated. Key aspects of the work included the reconfiguration of the bathroom, the installation of a hidden door from the kitchen into the utility room, and opening up the kitchen space with the new rear extension. We also improved the stairwell by removing an outdated shower room, allowing natural light to flow more freely into this area.

The renovation incorporated several standout design details that gave the home its unique character. Bespoke coving was specially created to preserve traditional charm, while herringbone flooring and panelling added depth and elegance to the interiors. Within the lounge, distinctive exposed brick arches became a focal point, enhancing the heritage feel of the property. Together, these touches allowed the extension and renovation to blend seamlessly with the home’s original features while still delivering a modern and practical living space.
