Furthermore, our continued success is driven by our strong and diverse team which has amassed many decades of experience in architectural design and building construction. We boast a team of some of the best architectural designers and builders in West Sussex. Subsequently, each individual has a deep understanding of architecture and strives to provide outstanding results in every project we complete.

Where it all began…
The company was originally established in 1987 by Maurice Roberts, the Father of fellow directors Nick and James Roberts.
This legacy has been carried forward, each bringing over 25 years of expertise across design, architecture, and construction. Together, our team offers more than a century of combined experience in high-end builds, refurbishments, and renovations This foundation ensures that every client benefits from the trusted hands of exceptional designers and master builders. Rex Regent is a business built on reliability, quality, and personal recommendation.
Goals
Our goal at Rex Regent is to have significant and strong business growth over the next five years. As a result, this will allow us to expand our customer base, the locations and areas we cover, and the projects we complete.
Aims
We aim to reach this business growth goal by, as a team, continuing to firmly focus on client satisfaction and the experience we provide. To clarify, this will be done by continuing to provide assurance on time, cost and quality.

Vision
Every aspect of our build construction is coordinated through the management of subcontractors. In addition to the high standards of workmanship and sourcing building materials of the highest quality at a competitive rate.
Our shared vision is providing our clients with the best possible quality of service, innovative designs and top quality construction. In short, each project is assigned a project manager who provides a detailed project plan to the client. This allows us to monitor the progress of building works through to successful delivery.
Every aspect of the build construction is coordinated through the management of subcontractors. these subcontractors ensure the highest of standards when it comes to workmanship, sourcing the best building materials at competitive rates.
Our attention is always prioritised to the customer requirements. We communicate regularly with each of our clients to ensure we are continuously meeting expectations at a minimum. This is both in formal and informal environments as we keep the client updated. Any issues encountered, we respond to immediately and outline all options viable to our client.
Due to our regular communication and management process, we keep projects on course and on budget with and unfaltering focus on quality and detail.

Rex Regent in The Community
As we continue growing, it is vitally important to consider our impact on the environment, people and local community. Within our Corporate Social Responsibility policy, you’ll read about advanced construction techniques to minimise our impact on the environment. We promote the use of timber frame structure to reduce CO2 emissions. It is not always feasible, but we always strive to use and provide greener solutions and alternatives.
At Rex Regent, we are always looking to source building materials locally where possible. It’s important that we assist fellow businesses in the area, to promote a strong relationship, encouraging the community to thrive.
Each year we sponsor different sporting events and clubs, including Ferring Football club and Ham Manor Golf Club.
Meet The Team
Nick Roberts
Commercial Director
Nick is responsible for leading the strategic direction, business growth and financial performance of the company. Nick is committed to developing excellence throughout the company through a positive and engaging approach. After graduating from Brighton with BSc Honours, his career spans more than 25 years in a range of senior roles in the Construction and Aviation industry. Nick is passionate about design and buildings.
James Roberts
Architectural Director
In 2003 when finishing University, James joined his father, working in the family Architectural business. With over 22 years of experience in the industry, James is one of the leading residential architectural designers in Sussex. He is adept at working with both modern and traditional design, responsible for designing numerous residential and commercial properties in the area. When not working, you’ll find James on the golf course or on holiday with his wife and children.
Marc Redshaw
Construction Director
Marc’s broad skill set enables him to oversee the construction projects from concept to completion, ensuring technical compliance and the best building standards are achieved. Marc demonstrates 45 years experience through a range of construction roles within the industry.
Michelle Roberts
Office Manager
Having lived in Worthing all her life, Michelle is a dedicated finance person and previously worked for 18 years at HSBC in a range of diverse roles. Michelle has built up a wealth of knowledge and understanding of commercial activities. Outside of work, Michelle is a very proud mum of two very talented daughters, spending a lot of her time supporting their sporting endeavours. In her free time, she enjoys socialising with friends and family, holidays and walking the family dog across the South Downs.
"We instructed the team to complete a single storey extension and internal reconfiguration to our 1930’s 3 bedroom detached house. Throughout the project all staff were very friendly and we felt we could ask them anything. They were always at our property for 7.30am every morning and even our neighbours commented on how tidy and considerate they were. The project lasted around eight months and we are very pleased with our newly renovated home. Thank you 😊"
